Clash of Trades

Snaggletooth partnered with a reality television production company to evolve and expand the motion graphics package for a returning season of Clash of Trades. Building on an established visual language, the team reconstructed the system from the ground up, delivering fully custom animation, 3D environments, and broadcast-ready transitions designed for fast-paced editorial workflows.

System Rebuild & Style Continuity

The project required matching the tone and energy of the previous season while modernizing execution and technical robustness. Every graphic element was rebuilt from scratch, allowing for greater flexibility, consistency, and scalability across episodic deliverables.

3D Design & Simulation

Custom modeling and simulation work in Cinema 4D played a central role in the package. A fully modeled rocket sequence incorporated dynamic smoke simulation and procedural animation, while CAD product assets were re-engineered into animation-ready geometry to enable clean mechanical breakdowns and cinematic motion design treatments.

Map Animation & Camera Language

Stylized map sequences and tilt-shift camera effects were developed using advanced camera tools commonly employed in documentary and broadcast storytelling. These sequences helped establish geographic context while maintaining a cohesive visual rhythm aligned with the show’s editorial pacing.

Broadcast Workflow & Editorial Integration

Designed for the demands of linear television production, the graphics package prioritized modularity, timing precision, and technical specification compliance. Deliverables were structured to integrate seamlessly into editorial pipelines, supporting rapid iteration and episodic turnaround schedules.

Capability Signal

Clash of Trades demonstrates Snaggletooth’s ability to handle complex, large-scale graphics systems while maintaining design clarity and visual impact. The project reflects a balance of creative direction, technical execution, and production awareness essential to contemporary broadcast motion work.
